About Us

John F. Casimiro

TREC PROFESSIONAL REAL ESTATE INSPECTOR LICENSE #6570

Our founder, John, comes from a background in civil engineering and construction. He established INSPECT A HOME in 2004 after seeing a need for more thorough home inspections by inspectors who looked after the clients’ best interests. John is a professional real estate inspector (there are three levels of inspectors in Texas, and “professional” is the highest level). He inspects every home as if he’s buying it himself and will do his best to answer all of your questions. John enjoys sharing his knowledge with his clients, especially first-time home buyers. He understands that buying a home can be stressful and that it’s a huge decision and investment—his job is to give you the peace of mind that comes from knowing exactly what you’re getting into.

Each of our inspectors are licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) and each inspection adheres to the TREC Standards of Practice.  We answer all questions during the verbal walkthrough at the end of each inspection.  Additionally, we are available after the inspection for follow-up questions or assistance.

We can identify missing insulation, improperly installed or compressed insulation, and shrinkage or settling of various insulating materials. We can often see moisture, leaks (including in roofs, water pipes, water lines), and electrical issues before they pose a bigger risk to fiscal or physical well-being. Read More
